Born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Elder-Designate Katisha Battle is the daughter of Ricky Battle and the late Priscilla Richardson Battle Black. She is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a degree in Healthcare Management and is currently pursuing her MBA to further her mission of service and leadership.
Katisha received the gift of salvation on December 9, 1993, a life-changing moment that marked the beginning of her walk with Christ. On August 4, 2024, she boldly accepted her divine assignment and preached her initial sermon, answering God’s call to ministry. Her passion is to inspire, encourage, and lead souls to Christ through preaching, teaching, and daily living.
In July 2024, she published the first volume of her devotional series, Lessons from Heaven, a heartfelt collection of spiritual insights drawn from her personal journey and relationship with God. In April of 2025, she stepped into entrepreneurship and launched A Servant’s Heart Staffing, LLC, a healthcare staffing agency built on integrity, compassion, and service.
Katisha is a devoted mother to four beautiful children—Miraka, Amiri, Saadiya, and Inemesit Jr.—and lovingly known as “Gigi” to her grandchildren: Kai, Da’mir, Amirya, Ky’elle and Kamari.
She lives each day anchored in the belief that, no matter what comes her way, “I know that I can make it, I know that I can stand, no matter what may come my way, my life is in Your hands.”
