Bethel Light Church Ministries, Inc. (BLCM) is the result of a vision given to our Founding Pastor, Bishop W.C. Hutchins, DD in the fall of 1990; in which, God issued him a mandate to establish a \u201cMinistry\u201d. It was at\u00a0 that same time that God gave him the name for the ministry, which serves to explain its purpose. \u201cBethel\u201d is\u00a0 taken from Genesis 35:15 \u2013 “And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel;” <\/em>and\u00a0 \u201cLight\u201d originated from Revelation 21:23 \u2013”And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine\u00a0 in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.<\/em>” Thus we affectionately refer to\u00a0 BLCM as: \u201cThe House of God; Where The Lamb Is The Light!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vision finally became a reality when Bethel Light held its first official worship service, with 18 charter\u00a0 members, in the home of our Pastor and Elect-Lady, Elder Revelene Hutchins, MAEd. on May 5, 2001. We\u00a0 remained in that location for three years. During which time, we witnessed blessing after blessing unfold, as\u00a0 God shined and poured out His favor on the ministry. However, due to extensive growth in both the\u00a0 membership and ministries of the church, it became imperative that we relocate as soon as possible. In July\u00a0 2004, God again opened a door of opportunity and blessed the ministry to relocate to our present location:\u00a0 2499-A US Highway 117 South, Goldsboro, NC.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As God had spoken prior to the move, with the additional space came additional growth; spiritually,  financially, numerically, and in the number of ministries offered. Seeking to provide ministry outside the  local congregation, Bethel Light currently operates, among many other ministries, a Transportation ministry  \u2013 providing free rides to and from all services; a Media ministry \u2013 providing free copies of all services in  Audio, Video, CD, and DVD formats; an Underprivileged Children\u2019s Fund \u2013 providing annual Christmas  gifts and other items to needy children throughout Wayne County; and an \u201cas-needed\u201d afterschool tutoring  program \u2013 providing tutorial assistance, via state-certified academic instructors, to students K-12. Prior to  the COVID pandemic, we provided a monthly Rest Home ministry \u2013 providing visitations, worship  opportunities, & gifts to the residents of Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation (current Genesis Healthcare) of  Mount Olive; and a monthly feeding ministry \u2013 providing hot full-course meals to the staff, family members,  and residents of the Wayne County Kitty Askins Hospice Center. We have also been blessed to provide  spiritual and financial assistance; as well as mentorship to other ministries as far away as Jamaica and West  Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bethel Light is without doubt: \u201cThe House of God; Where The Lamb Is The Light!\u201d<\/em>; and we purpose to forever\u00a0 strive to remain in the safest place in the whole wide world\u2026 in the Will of God!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
