Bethel Light Free Will Baptist Church Ministries, Inc. (BLFWBCM) is the result of a vision given to our founding pastor, District Elder W. C. Hutchins, DD, in the fall of 1990; in which, God issued him a mandate to establish a “ministry.” It was at that same time that God gave him the name for the ministry, which serves to explain its purpose. “Bethel” is taken from Genesis 35:15, which reads “And Jacob called the name of the place where God spoke with him, Bethel.” Meanwhile, “Light” originated from Revelation 21:23, which states “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Thus, we affectionately refer to BLFWBCM as “The House of God; Where the Lamb Is the Light!”
The vision finally became a reality when Bethel Light Free Will Baptist Church Ministries, Inc. held its first official worship service, with 18 charter members, in the home of our pastor and first lady, Eldress Revelene Hutchins, on May 5, 2001. We remained in that location for three years. During which time, we witnessed blessing after blessing unfold as God shined and poured our His favor on the ministry. However, due to extensive growth in both the membership and ministries of the church, it became imperative that we relocate as soon as possible. In July 2004, God again opened a door of opportunity and blessed the ministry to relocate to our present location: 2499-A, Highway 117 South, Goldsboro, NC.
As God had spoken prior to the move, with the additional space came additional growth; spiritually, financially, numerically, and in the number of ministries offered. Seeking to provide ministry outside the local congregation, Bethel Light Free Will Baptist Church Ministries, Inc. currently operates, among many other ministries, the following:
